We originally got called to survey a property that was being purchased by our client.

The seller had advised that the garage roof required minor repairs and we were asked to survey and report on the state of the roof. Following our inspection, we advised that more major work was needed. The timber roof structure was badly rotten and the full roof needed renewed to give our client a safe and watertight garage.

On our advice, our client agreed to proceed with the work. After stripping the old felt, fibre cement roof, and the rotten timber structure, we fitted new timber joists to provide a solid base for our new roof system. Our client decided to choose our double skinned insulated system with a white underside.

Our client now has a warm dry garage to store his art work and materials.

Client’s needs / work scope – Remove old damaged roof and convert to use as an office.

The client’s roof suffered severe storm damage when a heavy tree branch fell through the roof. The existing concrete roof sheeting was damaged beyond repair. Our client wanted to move his office closer to home and took the opportunity to transform the underused garage into a new workspace.

We stripped off the concrete sheeting and removed the damaged steel frame. To give our client extra headroom inside, our team supplied and fitted custom timber trusses. Our double skin insulated roof system was chosen to help make the building easier to heat in the winter. The bright white finish of our liner sheets inside the building helped brighten the space. We also replaced all the front timber cladding, facias and guttering.

Our work left the client with a bright open office space just a few steps from the back door.

Client’s needs / work scope – Convert garage to a music studio for the kids.

The Client called us out with the hope of converting his disused and derelict garage into a music room for the kids. The garage had long term issues with a significant amount ivy and trees growing around and on the structure. Prolonged water ingress had left the roof materials rotten and at risk of collapsing.

We spent a full day removing the vegetation and stripping the existing asbestos roof back to the bare walls. Our team fitted a new timber roof structure and provided our double skinned insulated roof system with new steel and timber facias.

The client was delighted that we managed to transform his damaged & overgrown garage to a warm and useable studio for the family to enjoy.
